Chiefs making push for McCardell

After a week of studying film, our lead scout surveys the Week 6 landscape and weighs in with his picks for the weekend's potential stars, the best matchups, the games to watch and more.

The NFL trading deadline is Tuesday, and as usual some interesting names are being tossed about. Raiders WR Jerry Rice has said he thinks he'll be traded, and there have been reports the Chargers are considering dealing QB Drew Brees.

We hear the Raiders would, indeed, deal Rice if they could find a taker, but the report he was on his way to Detroit was greatly exaggerated. Here are a few other possible deals:

  • One report getting some attention right now is between Kansas City and Tampa Bay, regarding disgruntled WR Keenan McCardell and RB Larry Johnson. Both organizations would like to move their player, but the Chiefs are more anxious than the Bucs.
