With five premier defensive ends -- Julius Peppers, Hugh Douglas, Dwight Freeney, Simeon Rice and Jason Taylor -- spotlighted in the current issue of Pro Football Weekly, it would be remiss for us to neglect the plethora of talent at the position.
As the passing game evolves to become a major staple in the success of every NFL team, defenses are coveting edge rushers who can make a difference. Those who can stop the run, as well, can set their own price tags.
PFW and a handful of NFL scouts came up with this list of impact defensive ends to keep an eye on in 2003.
