Editor's note: Practice notes will be updated daily and a final report will be completed on Friday, Jan. 28. Mark Clayton's lack of size will always limit him, but he still has the potential to develop into a very good starting wide receiver in the NFL. In many ways he reminds us of a cross between Steve Smith (Panthers) and Peter Warrick (Bengals). His quickness, lateral movement skills, speed, body control and hands are what make him such a dangerous receiver as a route runner and after the catch.
In order to solidify a spot in the first round, Clayton needs to prove to NFL scouts that he's capable of beating press coverage and maintaining production against some of the bigger cornerbacks at this week's Senior Bowl.
