Charlie Frye is a big, strong, athletic and strong-armed quarterback. He's a notch below former MAC quarterbacks that have succeeded in the NFL, such as Chad Pennington (Jets), Byron Leftwich (Jaguars) and Ben Roethlisberger (Steelers). However, Frye is still a talented overall quarterback with the potential to develop into a starter at the next level.
.
There are several quarterbacks competing for a spot in the draft after juniors' Aaron Rodgers (Cal) and Alex Smith (Utah). With most of those other senior quarterback candidates on hand at the Senior Bowl, Frye has an opportunity to separate himself.
