4-7 looks good in downtrodden NFC

Teams like Tampa Bay and Carolina, written off weeks ago, suddenly find themselves in the hunt.

    Almost every team is alive in the NFC. There are seven at 4-7 with a shot. Teams like Tampa Bay and Carolina, written off weeks ago, suddenly find themselves in the hunt.

    Arizona is another 4-7 team visiting 4-7 Detroit. For some reason, Dennis Green benched quarterback Josh McCown, who was 4-2 as a starter this year. John Navarre, the third option, will start against the slumping Lions, who have lost five straight and their return threat, Eddie Drummond (shoulder).
