This joke is on Browns

Spinning the release of their leading receiver, Kevin Johnson, whom they paid a boatload in signing bonus not too long ago, is tricky business for the Cleveland Browns. They say Kevin couldn't handle being demoted to second string, but if his attitude is the real reason they let him go, it didn't scare off many other teams.
A record 16 teams put in claims for Johnson, and he was awarded to Jacksonville for the mere $100 wavier cost. I'm probably not going out on a limb too far here, but the amount of interest this release generated tells me the Browns probably would have been able to trade him for some value in the offseason. Heaven knows their defense could have used an extra player or two in return.
