McNabb must have game of his life
The Eagles are relying on several players in Super Bowl XXXIX, but none more than Donovan McNabb.
The Eagles hadn't been stopped in years past by a lack of talent, but by devastating injuries. Over their run they've suffered a myriad of injuries to a host of players, including Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook and various members of the defensive line. Those injuries have been the main reason why this is the first time the Eagles have made it to the Super Bowl.
This year obviously the injury to Terrell Owens was looked at as a potentially devastating blow to their chances of representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. But the T.O. injury was really the only injury of consequence to affect this Eagles team, and that's why Philadelphia was able to survive losing one of the best receivers in the game.
