The curse of the Babe was lifted from the Red Sox for a week and transferred to the Patriots and candidate John Kerry.
At least the Pats can try again Sunday. And another factor unlike Kerry is the physical pounding they absorbed from Pittsburgh.
Their opponent, the Rams, is well-rested and Rams' quarterback Marc Bulger is 15-1 straight-up as a starter at home.
Jets' coach Herman Edwards is 10-2 in November and the Jets are 7-3 vs. the line their last 10 trips to Buffalo.
