Maryland senior linebacker D'Qwell Jackson's on-field role has been limited, but the Terps are still feeling the effect of his actions off the field.

Jackson, one of the most dominating defensive players in the ACC last season, could have made the leap to the NFL a year early, leaving behind a season of misery for others to fix.

"It crossed my mind," said Jackson, who is held out of contact drills because of recent wrist surgery. "But I knew I had unfinished business here."
