Bowden, 'Noles corral ACC's top class

If Miami's entry into the Atlantic Coast Conference didn't sound the death knell to Bobby Bowden's coaching career at Florida State, the theory went, slow starvation along the recruiting trail would signal it's time for him to get out.
So far, so wrong.
Four mediocre seasons, six straight losses to the rival Hurricanes, and an ongoing and well-documented offensive malaise under embattled coordinator Jeff Bowden haven't scared off the recruits. Nor, apparently, have concerns about Bobby Bowden's age (75) or ability to steer the Seminoles back to national prominence.
