Rodgers should have big game

Cal's balanced attack will lead to a rout of Southern Miss, and a trip to Pasadena for the first time in 45 years.

Southern Miss was originally scheduled to host California on September 16th, but Hurricane Ivan forced the game to be rescheduled. The unplanned turn of events gives the Golden Eagles an opportunity to keep Cal out of a BCS bowl.

Who: California (4) at Southern Miss
When: Sat., 7:45 ET (ESPN)
Where: M.M. Roberts Stadium, Hattiesburg, MS
Cal is looking to secure a spot in the Rose Bowl for the first time in 45 years. It can accomplish that feat with a win over the Eagles, assuming USC winds up in the Orange Bowl.

Southern Miss knows its postseason destination after accepting a bid to play in the Wyndham New Orleans Bowl. Will the lack of pressure allow the Eagles to pull off a stunning upset, or will QB Aaron Rodgers lead the Bears to victory?
