Berlin must continue to make plays

If Frank Beemer is to complete what has been one of the nation's most impressive coaching performances in 2004, his defense must lead the way. The Miami offense is hitting on all cylinders, following its 52-point outburst versus Wake Forest.
Larry Coker will be looking for his defense to build on its recent momentum. Virginia Tech's offense has become very balanced, thanks to the emergences of QB Bryan Randall, RB Mike Imoh and freshmen wide receivers Eddie Royal and Josh Hyman.
Few players have been through the type of rollercoaster careers that Randall and Brock Berlin have experienced. The winner of Saturday's unofficial ACC title game will forever put his stamp on his football program, with a BCS bowl berth.
