Williams, Brown too much for Rebels

After beating South Carolina in Columbia, and giving Tennessee a scare last week, the Rebels look to play the role of spoilers once again when the undefeated Tigers roar into town.

Who: Auburn (4) vs. Ole Miss
When: Sat., 7:45 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Where:Vaught-Hemingway, Oxford, MS

It will be Ole Miss' third consecutive game against a ranked opponent. With a visit from the Georgia Bulldogs on the horizon, Saturday night's trip to Oxford has all the makings of a "trap game" for head coach Tommy Tuberville's Auburn team.

If the Rebels are to pull off the upset and shake up the BCS standings, their three-quarterback rotation of Ethan Flatt, Michael Spurlock and Robert Lane must limit their mistakes. That won't be easy working against an Auburn defense led by MLB Travis Williams, DS Junior Rosegreen and DE Quentin Groves.

If Auburn is to avoid a letdown that would ruin its national title hopes, it must maintain what has become one of the nation's most balanced offensive attacks. After a rocky start, Ole Miss' defense ranks 70th in the country against the run and 83rd against the pass. However, this unit has given up an average of just 23.3 points over the last three games and continues to improve on a weekly basis. The Rebels' defense is led by DC Trumaine McBride, LB Rob Robertson, DSs Eric Oliver and Charles Clark and Kelvin Robinson

The Tigers are counting on what is arguably the best backfield in college football (QB Jason Campbell and RBs Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown) to reverse that trend on Saturday night.
