More than ever before, NFL coaches are eyeballing the opportunity to move to the college ranks and build a program. For some coaches, it's the opportunity to raise a family without moving around every couple of years. For others, it's the chance to teach and mold young men who aren't making three times their salary.

As the interest grows for Bill Callahan and Al Groh-types, the vacancies in college football shrink. Furthermore, as the revenues increase for winning programs, the patience of school presidents decrease. The climate is not the same as it once was in the college football coaching industry, and the following head coaches are feeling the heat:
