Blue Ribbon Illustrated previews the 2004-05 college football season, exclusively on Insider.
After going 3-9 under Bustle in his first season in Lafayette, the Cajuns opened 0-7 in 2003. Louisiana-Lafayette then bounced back and won four of its last five, including a 57-51 four-overtime thriller at Middle Tennessee in the season finale.
The Cajuns finished their Sun Belt schedule 4-2, second in the league behind North Texas. Consequently, Bustle signed a two-year contract extension in February through 2008.
