COACH AND PROGRAM

It wasn't too long ago that an eight-win season would have been a nice accomplishment at Oregon.

But expectations are different at Oregon now and the Ducks weren't exactly thrilled with their 8-5 record last season, especially considering they were blown out by Washington State, Arizona State and Washington.

After winning back-to-back Pac-10 titles in 2000 and 2001, their last two seasons (Oregon was 7-6 in '02) can best be described with one word: Mediocre. At least by the program's recent standards.
