COACH AND PROGRAM

Dirk Koetter wouldn't say if losing seven of the final 10 games of the 2003 season was an aberration for his Arizona State football team.

Why? Because then he'd have to relive each loss. And the fourth-year Sun Devil coach would rather crumple up last year's 5-7 record, throw it out with the trash and start with a clean slate.
