It could have been construed as one of those Signs That the Apocalypse is Upon Us-Vanderbilt executed nine plays of its Black & Gold spring game on March 20 before a potent thunderstorm forced a halt, then a cancellation of, the proceedings.

Boom. Just like that. No spring game to tantalize, titillate or discourage Commodore backers. Imagine such a happenstance in Tuscaloosa or Knoxville. Coaches and Mother Nature alike would be castigated for their insolence.
