A game of "What If" could easily have been played after San Diego State's 2003 season.
COACH AND PROGRAM
What sort of record could have resulted from a combination of San Diego State's 2002 passing offense and its 2003 defense? The thought makes coach Tom Craft cringe. "We might not have lost a game, including the Ohio State one," Craft said.
That's how good the passing was from two years ago (improving from 89th in the nation in 2001 to fifth) and how good last year's defense came to be.
