Team preview: Louisiana Tech
The Louisiana Tech football program pays the athletic department's bills in a way that may put coach Jack Bicknell's job on the line soon.
The Bulldogs line up against some of the best teams in the country several times a season in money games that damage the bodies and psyches of Bicknell's players.
Sure, some people point to wins over Oklahoma State in 2002 and Michigan State in 2003 as success stories.
But that ignores the reality-talented Bulldogs teams have gone 4-8 and 5-7 in those seasons.
Even in 2001, when the Bulldogs won the WAC title, they went 0-4 against Bowl Championship Series conference teams.
This year, the schedule includes trips to Auburn, Miami and Tennessee in the first five weeks.
