In the days after Arkansas' win over Missouri in the Independence Bowl, one name kept popping up in Nebraska's quest for a replacement for Frank Solich: Houston Nutt.
COACH AND PROGRAM
It seemed incredible at the time. Houston Nutt? On further inspection, however, Nutt's candidacy made sense. Looking for a guy with passion? Check, that's Nutt. Looking for a guy who can recruit? Check. Looking for a guy who has shown he can take a less than loaded cupboard and win big? Check. Looking for a guy who can make a downtrodden program seem excited? Again, check.
