Judging by his past performances, expect junior quarterback Chris Rix to play well on Saturday against North Carolina State. In three years as Florida State's starter, he's made a habit of playing poorly in at least a couple of games a season and following up with lights-out performances in subsequent games.

Though Rix's two interceptions, lost fumble and numerous off-the-mark throws to open receivers were a central part of the Seminoles' loss to Clemson, coach Bobby Bowden said he ain't interested in changing quarterbacks (note: he didn't really say ain't, but we're pretty sure that's what he meant).

Backup Fabian Walker only played the final eight minutes of the game, but produced FSU's only touchdown on a perfectly thrown 71-yard pass to Chauncey Stovall. The two also hooked up on a 31-yard touchdown pass that was negated by an offensive pass interference call.
