Bulldogs look to the future

The Bulldogs will try once again to stop somebody -- anybody -- when Alabama comes to Starkville Saturday. The Crimson Tide is no offensive juggernaut, largely riding the legs of running back Shaud Williams, but offenses haven't had to be great to roll it up on State. Under first-year (and last-year, given the impending regime change) defensive coordinator Ron Cooper, the Bulldogs are last in the SEC in scoring defense, total defense, rushing defense, pass efficiency defense and preventing third-down conversions. Other than that, things are fine.
