A midseason team-by-team look at the Sun Belt.
The Indians opened their year with a pretty respectable 26-11 loss at Texas A&M and would be unbeaten in conference play if not for losing a designated Sun Belt game at Tulsa 54-7. Their running game has been as good as advertised, piling up nearly 178 yards per game, but they've struggled to defend the pass and, like all but two teams in the Sun Belt, are giving up more than 30 points per contest. If the Indians could get a bit more production on defense and find a way to capitalize on their running attack by getting a few more big plays from the passing game, they could be tough to handle in conference play.
