Leak wins Florida's QB duel

The Gators have handed the ball to QB Chris Leak, but is the freshman ready?

The most-discussed lineup change of the week is occurring in Gainesville, amid the acrimonious aftermath of a two-touchdown loss to Tennessee. Florida is finally ending its rotating-quarterback silliness and going with true freshman Chris Leak at Kentucky Saturday.

Marshall coach Bob Pruett, former boss of Gators offensive coordinator Ed Zaunbrecher and a former Florida assistant, sounded dubious in talking to the Orlando Sentinel. "When you play against a solid team, I don't know anybody in the country who could win with a true freshman quarterback," Pruett said.

But ESPN analyst Lee Corso had the counterpoint: Who said Kentucky is solid? "Going to Kentucky, that's not a tough assignment. He can do all right there."
