Autzen tough place for slow start

Washington State coach Bill Doba thinks the Cougars need a fast start against No. 15 Oregon, which has outscored opponents 44-6 in the first quarter and 93-27 in the first half. That way Autzen Stadium may not be as deafening. "That will be very, very important," Doba said. "I think you have to slow down that crowd a little bit."

Quarterback Matt Kegel did just that against New Mexico, completing his first 11 passes on his way to the best afternoon of his career. Kegel completed 29 of 42 for 346 yards and has thrown for 656 yards in the last two games.
