With wins at Kentucky and Syracuse to open the season, Louisville became the only team in NCAA Division I-A to open with back-to-back road wins. The Cardinals' 30-20 win at Syracuse also ran their winning streak over Bowl Championship Series conference teams to four games.
For all the things first-year coach Bobby Petrino has done, much of the news in Louisville revolves around things his team is not doing. It is not committing penalties. After being the nation's second-most penalized team last season, the Cardinals are the nation's fourth-least penalized teams through three weeks this season.
The Cardinals also haven't fumbled the ball, and they have not had to punt in the fourth quarter of either of their games.
