Suspended (academics) for the season-opening rout of Appalachian State,
Hawaii junior quarterback Timmy Chang makes his 2003 debut this week at No. 4 USC. The Trojans actually recruited Chang out of high school. This week, he
continues his pursuit of Ty Detmer's NCAA career passing mark of 15,031
yards. Chang has passed for 8,615 and, should he stay through his senior
season, has at least 24 games remaining to top Detmer.

recruits, many who grew up watching the local program.

then it gets unbelievable."
