History tells us that when draft day rolls around in April a decent number of underclassmen will opt to bypass their final season of collegiate eligibility and enter the draft process.

In 2003, three of the first five players selected and five of the overall top 10 were underclassmen, while a total of 10 underclassmen ended up hearing their name called in the first round.

That group included Michigan State wide receiver Charles Rogers (No. 2, Detroit), Miami WR Andre Johnson (No. 3, Houston), Kentucky defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson (No. 4, NY Jets), Georgia DT Johnathan Sullivan (No. 6, New Orleans), Arizona State defensive end Terrell Suggs (No. 10, Baltimore), Notre Dame center Jeff Faine (No. 21, Cleveland), Florida quarterback Rex Grossman (No. 22, Chicago), Miami running back Willis McGahee (No. 23, Buffalo), Iowa tight end Dallas Clark (No. 24, Indianapolis), and Stanford offensive tackle Kwame Harris (No. 26, San Francisco).
