Wolverines must stop Benson

The Wolverines may struggle to stop QB Vince Young, but their balanced offense will be too much for the Longhorns.

Two of the most storied programs in the nation meet for the first time in the 91st Rose Bowl. Michigan is making its 30th consecutive bowl appearance, and will be playing in its ninth consecutive New Year's Day bowl game.

Who: Michigan vs. Texas
When: Jan. 1, 4:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
Where: Pasadena, CA
The Wolverines have been no strangers to Pasadena, as they have played in more Rose Bowls than any other Big Ten School. Texas will be making its first appearance in the "Granddaddy of 'em all." The Longhorns have gone to seven consecutive bowl games for the third time in school history.

Michigan's fate rests in the play of two freshmen. QB Chad Henne and RB Michael Hart need to have strong games. Texas hopes senior RB Cedric Benson can power it to one more victory. Will better offensive balance lead the Wolverines to the win or will Benson's bruising style prove too much to overcome?
