COACH AND PROGRAM
Perhaps no team in the Southwestern Athletic Conference will have more roster turnover than Arkansas-Pine Bluff this season. Considering the hapless Golden Lions won only one game last season, that may not be such a bad thing. Things can only get better in Pine Bluff, right? One thing is for sure: There's no where to go but up. At least, that's what UAPB coach Van Holt and the program's long-suffering fans can hope. The Golden Lions enter this season having won only 15 games the last five seasons. Surprisingly, their lone win a year ago came at eventual SWAC Tournament winner Alabama State (61-54) on Jan. 12. Go figure.
