COACH AND PROGRAM
Texas Southern entered last season with lofty expectations. After all, the Tigers returned eight of the top 10 players from the previous year's team which won the SWAC Tournament and played in the NCAA Tournament. In addition, coach Ronnie Courtney welcomed one of the top recruiting classes in the league. Things didn't go according to plan. The Tigers won 10 league games and finished the regular season in third place-their third straight year to finish among the top four teams in the league standings under Courtney. But Courtney and Co. were expecting more. Much more.
