COACH AND PROGRAM

Colorado State was expected to contend in the Mountain West Conference last season only to endure two harsh lessons in a 12-16 season and last-place finish in the MWC.

First and foremost, the Rams learned that a single NCAA Tournament appearance after the previous year's league tournament championship and 40 close minutes in the first round against Duke does not guarantee that a program has turned around.
