New Mexico basketball is synonymous with a rabid fan following creating ungodly noise levels in The Pit, an ability to shoot the three-pointer through a succession of coaching regimes and a postseason history with 18 NIT and NCAA appearances in the last 21 seasons.

Lobo fans, however, are not noted for their patience.
