For nearly a quarter of century, Air Force was nothing if not predictable. Always picked last or next to last in the Mountain West and Western Athletic Conference before the '99-00 season, the Falcons obliged prognosticators. Sure, Air Force would give some teams a scare at home, and inevitably pulled off some upsets when opponents treated the Falcons too lightly.
COACH AND PROGRAM

Sure, Air Force would give some teams a scare at home, and inevitably pulled off some upsets when opponents treated the Falcons too lightly.
Nothing was predictable about the miracle '03-'04 season when coach Joe Scott and his Falcons recorded the best league record in MWC history at 12-2, reeled off a 13-game winning streak, entered the Top 25 at the end of the regular season and notched the best record (22-7) in school history. Oh yes, they made it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1962.
