There's no such thing as a one-year wonder in Carbondale.
The Salukis of Southern Illinois have made sure the Valley and the NCAA remember their name, even if their players' and coaches' names keep changing every season. For three straight years, the Salukis have been at the top of the conference, going 27-0 at home in league play over that span, and earned at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament. SIU has won 77 games, tying Syracuse and Illinois for eighth among Division I schools over the three seasons.
