The only man in NCAA history to be the all-time winningest coach at three different schools, Durham puts his own backspin on the bottom line. On summarizing the 2003-04 season, Jacksonville's director of athletics/men's basketball coach reached into his bag and pulled out this nine-iron: "If a guy is in the middle of the fairway, 150 yards out, knocks it up within 20 feet and three-putts, that's a bad bogey. If a guy knocks it in the water, brings it out and knocks it up to two feet and puts it in, that's a good bogey.
