Can you rely too much on one person?
USC certainly tested that notion during the 2003-2004 season.
Perhaps it's understandable to ride the shoulders of an All-Pac-10 performer like senior guard Desmon Farmer (19.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg). But last season the Trojans might have relied too much on the 6-5 Flint, Mich. native, deferring to him when the team needed a shot or just some to take control.
Often, the young Trojans just dumped the ball to Farmer and let him go to work.
It showed, as Farmer led USC in scoring in 17 of the team's 28 games.
