South Alabama John Pelphrey is having a ball now in the third year of his new life. The Jaguars just unveiled an expensive refurbishing of their practice facility and took a trip to Costa Rica to play four games against professional, national and club teams in early September.

South Alabama John Pelphrey is having a ball now in the third year of his new life. The Jaguars just unveiled an expensive refurbishing of their practice facility and took a trip to Costa Rica to play four games against professional, national and club teams in early September.
But most importantly, after going 26-30 in his first two seasons since leaving the security of Billy Donovan's Florida Gators bench, Pelphrey's third season in Mobile features enough personnel for a return toward Sun Belt prominence.
