Sergio Rouco is returning to Florida International with nowhere to go but up and the ambitious belief that he will.
The 43-year-old Rouco was an assistant under Golden Panthers head coaches Rich Walker and Bob Weltlich for five years (1987-91), and spent four years under Donnie Marsh (2000-03). Rouco was at UTEP last season, helping the Miners spook Maryland in the NCAA Tournament, while Marsh was walking the plank at FIU.
