Fact. Youngstown State won only four Horizon League games in its third season in the conference. Fact. The Penguins lose their top three scorers from that team. If two and two adds up to four, Youngstown would appear to be in for another season of taking abuse.

However, coach John Robic doesn't necessarily buy the conventional math. He was able to discern clear progress from one 4-12 league season in 2002-03 to another 4-12 season in 2003-04.
Furthermore, he fully expects more progress from a team that poses as something of a mystery even to its head coach.
