True to their name, the Phoenix are on the rise.
Wisconsin-Green Bay warmed up the frozen tundra last winter -- or at least the hardwood inside the Resch Center. The 17 wins were the most for the program since 1998-99, and represented an improvement of seven over coach Tod Kowalczyk's rookie season as head coach.
Because the former Marquette assistant's first season was considered a success, his second campaign was even more impressive.
