COACH AND PROGRAM

When he stepped to the podium at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn to tip off his team's postseason awards banquet, Fairfield coach Tim O'Toole used one word to describe the Stags' 2003-04 season.

Miraculous.

He wasn't kidding.

At a time when so many things could have pulled Fairfield apart, the Stags stuck together and won 19 games for the second consecutive season and posted back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 25 years.
