Someday, perhaps at a reunion in the Al McGuire Center when both are long retired, the coach and the player will swap stories from the summer of 2004. The old men might even whip out slim cases and show off the contents inside like baby pictures. You can just imagine the coach slipping in a good-natured jibe: "Mine's shinier than yours."
COACH AND PROGRAM

The coach, Marquette's Tom Crean, and the player who revitalized Crean's program two seasons ago, Dwyane Wade, were beneficiaries of precious metals thanks to their participation in USA Basketball last summer.
