COACH AND PROGRAM

Coaches across the Southland Conference expect Nicholls State to be the league's most improved team in 2004-05.

Ricky Blanton, the former LSU standout who guided coach Dale Brown's Tigers to a Final Four run in 1986, enters his third season running the program hoping that his coaching peers are correct.
