COACH AND PROGRAM

The Big Green really wasn't as bad as it appeared last season. Well, maybe by season's end, as Dartmouth finished second-to-last in the country to Arkansas Pine Bluff in the RPI rankings, but a few breaks early on and former coach Dave Faucher might still have his job.

Alas, for Faucher, after 14 years at Dartmouth, he was fired after the three-win campaign.

Dartmouth began the year 3-7, 1-0 in the Ivy League. However, of those seven defeats, five were by four points or less, with the Big Green holding leads in four of the five in the final minute. After that, injuries mounted, and the team was competitive in just a handful of league games. And while it would appear that first-year coach Terry Dunn, an assistant with Colorado the last eight years, would have little pressure on him this winter, he isn't allowing himself or his team to think that way.
