Team preview: Lafayette
Blue Ribbon Illustrated previews the 2004-05 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.
Lafayette coach Fran O'Hanlon recently signed a new 10-year contract that will keep him on the Leopards bench through the 2014 season.
The successful O'Hanlon landed that well-deserved job security at a most opportune time because he'll have a young, rebuilding team that will surely test his coaching acumen this winter. The Leopards, who reeled off 18 wins before hitting a wall late last season, have only two seniors and two juniors on the roster. O'Hanlon also has two new assistant coaches in John Gallagher and Drew Dawson, and along with holdover Elliot Broadnax, they'll be molding a team heavily reliant on sophomores and freshmen.
