Julius Hodge might be the first player in NCAA Division I history who admitted he didn't turn pro because his mother wouldn't let him.

Hodge said he wanted to take a look at putting his name in the NBA draft over the summer, but his mother, Mary Hodge, reminded him about a promise he made before he arrived at N.C. State. He promised that he wouldn't leave until he had a degree.
