In theory, with four starters returning from a squad that finished second in the MAC East Division in 2002-03, the Miami RedHawks should be a heavy favorite for the division crown.
But head coach Charlie Coles can tell you precisely where basketball theories break down. Not only is this his eighth season at Miami, it's also the eighth academic year Coles will teach Basketball Theory as a course within the university's coaching minor.
