Team preview: Buffalo
Blue Ribbon Illustrated previews the 2003-04 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.
It wasn't enough for Buffalo to be racked by the third and final year of probation last season. No, a painfully young team also withered under the weight of injuries to nearly every key contributor and stumbled to a 5-23 overall record, 2-16 in the MAC.
Luckily for the Bulls, head coach Reggie Witherspoon is adept at dealing with adversity. He took over the program five games into the 1999-2000 season and has had one hand tied behind his back by probation (self-imposed by the university for one year and imposed by the NCAA the next two) ever since.
